Hi, I'm Michael FiG (née Gordon Matzigkeit), married to the beautiful and wise Susana, on September 6th, 2009.
I'm actively involved in the FiG Project, mostly as a Free Software developer. I consider myself to be both a software architect and an armchair psychologist. These paths reflect my interest in understanding communication and control, also known as the field of cybernetics. I have learned about these things mostly through my personal experience, though I have also engaged in some formal education.
I constantly see many different perspectives on every issue, so it is hard for me to sum up my beliefs. I enjoy puns and ambiguity, and frequently people don't realize that I'm just joking, only serious. Every so often when I feel like I reach a new understanding, I update my autobiography, which details some of the more unique aspects of my life and philosophy. [If the link is broken, it's because I'm in a new phase of my life so that the old words don't apply, but I haven't yet come up with a description for my latest paradigm shift.]
