Hi, I'm Michael FIG (née Gordon Matzigkeit).
I'm actively involved in the FIG Project, mostly as a Free Software developer. I consider myself to be both a software architect and an armchair psychologist. These paths reflect my interest in understanding communication and control, also known as the field of cybernetics. I have learned about these things mostly through my personal experience, though I have also engaged in some formal education.
I constantly see many different perspectives on every issue, so it is hard for me to sum up my beliefs. I enjoy puns and ambiguity, and frequently people don't realize that I'm just joking, only serious. Every so often when I feel like I reach a new understanding, I update my autobiography, which details some of the more unique aspects of my life and philosophy.
If you are interested in having me work for you on a computer project, you can see my resumé in PDF or LaTeX format. Contract work is best, as I currently have a steady job.
If you wish to contact me directly, send e-mail to <michael@fig.org>, but be aware that I use an aggressive spam filter that will send an automatic reply requiring you to confirm your message before I will see it. You can also call my voicemail at (306) 359-6201. My mobile number is tucked away in my resumé.
